[EDMW Queen’s Fate Play] EDMW has a new Queen called Chibabom! or Hong Ming Zhi… We have mentioned here before. Heard that she has recently broken up with her boyfriend, Donald Duck. Heard that because Donald ‘eats behind her back’.
The link to her blog appeared last night in my search page so I went over and left some comments.
While I wish her all the best in her new search of the right prince, she went to attack Steven Lim… LOL~ OMG! Steven Lim has found a girlfriend! Actually watching the video provided by Ming Zhi showed his girlfriend was not bad lah… only a bit plump. If Steven Lim really seriously truly loves the girlfriend we should send blessings what~ But the video receives nasty comments about both Steven Lim and the girlfriend which I think is so uncalled for… I didn’t comment because… I don’t know what to say. Is it for real?
Steven Lim calls himself a superstar… the most handsome man in Singapore… LOL~ Very funny. It’s not a crime trying to be funny lah~ Why can’t people just relax? I have no problem with Steven Lim since I have no problem with Furong Sister (芙蓉姐姐) as well. This is just entertainment… though not quite entertaining… So I read that Ming Zi’s sister thought Steven Lim was crazy, I laughed…
Steven Lim is making tons of money by being a clown… See?
Ming Zi is really very young… Relax, kid~
[Facebook Shares Dives] My problem?
[The Hougang Momentum] So Png Eng Huat has won Hougang and Tan Jee Say is shouting for the ‘fire of democracy’ to spread… I was reading the Yahoo! news but what interests me is really about Ex-SPP people’s ‘The Independents’ headed by a Benjamin Pwee. Don’t know who he is and don’t know if his ‘The Independents’ can represent the independents… I consider myself a moderate, hence an independent; but my utmost concern is really the quality of the independents.
It’s not fair to say Hougang’s fight belonged to Desmond Choo… because the main speakers were really PM Lee, DPMs and the ministers. But their calls gave not a dent to the results. That’s the whole point. Which means the coming election for PAP will be extremely difficult if they still can’t offer governance but petty empty talks to retain power.
The rise of Workers’ Party… to me… may be the rise of another obstacle to needed reforms. But for now, they are the ‘weapon’ used by the people to tear down deeply entrenched PAP. If the Hougang momentum even exists… Seriously, till political talents rise, what’s so good about it? It’s not as if WP can really handle the governance when PAP were to be ousted.
While I don’t know who the fuck is Banjamin Pwee… it’s good a new group is formed… I am counting on more groups to be formed… for multi-corners fights to come. We can’t always have the fights based on stupid party politics… We must eventually have it based on who have the capability to govern well.
I have a bad feeling when I read about a disease called Chagas disease. It’s called the kissing disease because some crazy bugs like to suck blood on your fucking face and you are infected with that type of parasite. (Read here.) It is said to be another ‘AIDS’. The lucky part is that this parasite is common in Latin America instead of Asia, the bad part is Singapore is a cosmopolitan. But since it is a disease spreaded by bugs and unlikely the patients unless you exchange blood, it is highly unlikely that the bug can reach Singapore… Please not, because I am fucking paranoidal when it comes to diseases!
Also to remind myself… to drink 4 cups of water a day to avoid Diabetes. I read about it somewhere… but I am not sure if this is this simple. But I definitely drink more than 4 cups a day…
The other interesting news is about North Korea having their own version of SNSD. Actually I don’t know about the girls’ group in South Korea… or even Japan. I only know about AKB48 recently when watching Japanese dramas. Heard AKB48 is going to have regular performance in Singapore soon… I wonder how a small market like Singapore can support their performing efforts… Maybe Malaysians and Indonesians will flock in to watch them. Now I know a little about SNSD or ‘So Nyuh Shi Dae’ that is similar to the Chinese pronouciation of ‘ 少女时代’. Well… Considering Scope is an old uncle of 36yo… not knowing some dance groups should be forgiveable. I also won’t comment on whether North Korean’s SNSD is pretty or not… Basically, as long as they are not exactly ugly, they should be quite pretty.
In any case, can’t find the member profiles for North Korea’s SNSD.
It’s been a boring week online. Nothing exciting. I have been staying out of the net for a while… roaming the streets.
There have been reports about contracting STDs from even proper massage. This dampens the mood for going for a foot massage… As long as there is a micro-wound on your body, those virus particles can enter your body from the hands or the fingernails of the masseuses. Fucking disturbing… I tried to source for the stories but can’t locate them online.
Ever since you have interactions online, you have to deal with zealots, morons, haters and the likes. Then nowadays, you suddenly are exposed to many online TVs with lots of dramas to choose from… the thing is, how do they cope with copyrights? But that’s not my concern. The point is, it’s free. Helps me to learn Japanese as well. Then there are the ‘news’… You have to verify the news, nonetheless. Then you have the blogs… and even blogs will win you haters. LOL~ There are a whole bunch of regular troublemakers online, nothing can be done against them… It’s really a shame that this is the 100% educated scene of Singapore… Singapore society, ie.
One word: Moron…
Now the usual media is all about in the cyberspace. Can’t say I like the development… but internet has always been pretty messy. There is little about laws to talk about order, and least with enforcement. Many moderators themselves are big time morons trying to be kings and queens, totally undependable. And facebook keeps reminding me that Kate exists… a fact that I’d rather forget.
It been very quiet online… so I went to Bongqiuqiu’s blog and have a look. Her new entry has pictures… which made her look like Vietnamese mail order bride!? And she was talking about how some girls think they were models… and so on. I read and laughed. While she was commenting on those poor model-wannabes, I am wondering how those top notch models will see Qiuting. Actually, model is just a tool for a photographer… Just have fun and see the results. Not every shot will be to your liking. Basically, anyone can be a model for any photos of any subjects… If I am not wrong, there are also fatty models in Europe… and now, mama-beauty-contestants…
The word ‘model’ is really not that narrow. I won’t say Qiuting is wrong about those wannabes… but I definitely can’t say she is that right either.
If you are happy with yourself… you should be a good model.
Of course, if you are talking about being beautiful… It’s really very subjective. Some like huge boobs, some like it skinny… some like it nose-pointed, some prefer oriental and small eyes. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholders, hence models. In real, top models like actors and actresses depend very much on chances. If you are able to be involved in certain events, met certain professionals and you have a product that hits the trend… right people right time right place makes you a top model. I have seen many more prettier… more attractive people stuck in the mud as well. Who goes to the cover page is very dependent on luck… not beauty.
Look at Jackass Neo’s crew… are they beautiful? But they still get into news and magazines.
That’s why I won’t really comment that much about those wannabes. They are not models mostly because they ain’t in that luck.
Honestly… is Fann Wong so beautiful? The blunt truth about her is… when we had chicken rice together back then, she was a model with a big head and a flat face. She was a nice girl back then, but I really wondered how come she was a model… So… to add on to Qiuting’s talk about modelling… If you are a wannabe, you are not a top model not necessarily mean you ain’t pretty or even prettier… you are just not in the industry yet, or you are just not in luck. Almost anybody can be a model… if they meet the right people. That’s the real secret of this industry.
Even Tang Wei, her success was through many obstacles, many chances to give up, many wannabe attempts, many rejections… I personally respect her. It was really a gamble for her… but really, in this industry, it’s really a gamble… winners take all, and losers get nothing. The issue is, will you pursue on or will you just give up.
Who will rise, who will fall… nobody will really know.
Seriously, I really laughed when I read that entry of Qiuting. In Singapore, this industry is not as big as in the North. Even if Qiuting were to be the like of Fann Wong… she may still be too ‘small’…
What i cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot stand, is..
GIRLS WHO CALL THEMSELVES MODELS when they have the lousiest of all the four elements listed above that’d make a good picture working for them. And the thing is, they are everywhere!!!
These girls! They’re everywhere!!! They call themselves models. But all their pictures either have bad lightings, bad outfits, obviously taken in a bad angle thanks to a bad photographer, and overall, they themselves didn’t make anything better as a model. So.. Did you really call yourself a MODEL?!?!
Oh, come on! Take it easy lah~
So you want to be a model… Just have fun~ You don’t really need to work that hard… but you really need to meet the right people.
[DPM Teo Lambasted By JC Balls] Here’s the piece from http://fifthazure.tumblr.com/post/24189167626/pre-u-sem-reflections-you-dpm-teo
Pre-U Sem Reflections- **** You, DPM TeoSo on the first real day of PUS, DPM Teo Chee Hean came to have a “conversation” with the participants. Simply put, any little respect I have for him before is now lost. Essentially, he skipped over vital topics the youth are interested in and essentially explained the PAP manifesto- the the audience was visibly and audibly annoyed. You can find a censored version on RazorTV, but it was essentially a roast of DPM Teo. For those not familiar with roasts, Comedy Central occasionally get controversial people to sit in the middle of a stage while comedians rip him apart, all in good fun. Except hear, there is no good fun. The participants made it extremely clear they were dissatisfied with DPM Teo- and when we asked about our concerns which we do not know what can be done to solved, he will give the fucking ridiculous reply “What do you think (can be done)?”. Flaming piece of bullshit. We are 17 year old with very little to no life experience and you wantusto come up with policies for you? It is exactly because we don’t know what can be done we worry about the country. We seek your opinion. You gave us none. And when someone manned up and replied, “I am 17 years old, I don’t know what to do”, the crowd went berserk in applause. Fuck you, sir. We elected you into office because we believe you held the answers- and in (any other) democracy, if you cannot come up with a solution, we will vote you out. Maybe Low Thia Kiang has an answer. Look at Bush’s Republican party- they cannot come up with an adequate solution for the debt, Iraq, etc. and Obama was voted in- he is now facing the same problem. My point is that this is fucking ridiculous for DPM Teo to ask for solutions. And even if we gave one, his experience in parliament will allow him to rip it apart and replace it with the vanilla PAP policy. Fuck you.
Theres also an epidemic on dodging questions. Whenever a question which hit home was asked, he simply asked for the next question. To the point where he skipped 7-8 question in a row on freedom of speech and other topics the PAP is scared of. He also maneuvered as a politician would- when asked about freedom of press, he diverted into the problems of the US press and not mention about the state of Singapore- fearing cooperate interests in free press, championing “responsible press”, forgetting the it is only responsible to the government’s view on issues. And when the term “without censorship” came in third in the data collected from us prior to the talk in “ideal attributes for Singapore”, he did not even mention it and just talk about other things. And when faced with a tough question, he turned to anecdotes and stupid analogies, including his dead grandparents, escalators breaking down, mountains and mountain ranges, before coming back to mention the problem and moving on. Fuck you, sir.
It was fun to watch his face when the most upvoted comment in the miniforum we used via smartphones which was projected on the board mentioned “I will fight for true democracy” and “I will fight for Hougang Teochew Porridge.”
Expected bullshit, received bullshit, but a renewed hope for our youth… Clearly the future leaders of our nation knows their shit. If these was a forum of “average” apathetic youth, none of that would have happened.
The mainstream media tried to spin it as a constructive dialogue. But we were there. We saw the patheticness of it all.
EDIT: I should note, everyone I talked to agreed with this general opinion. Just how much DPM fucked up.
Apparently youths nowadays have become pretty vocal unlike our time. I myself was pretty vocal during school and it wasn’t easy being vocal. During my time at school, PAP was still a pretty strong party when very few would dare to complain, and whenever there was a complain the government would be like ‘why you complain so much?’… as if it is the fault of those who complained. The article is not complete because it lacks the SMS display of that day so please go to the link and check out the piece.
I read about the DPM’s ‘speech’… One thing I noted was about the students’ thought about realising dreams in Singapore not being easy. This is a problem because new economy will need to capitalise on the dreams or potential of our scarce human resource… Hmmm… Our human resource is no longer considered ‘scarce’ with reckless foreign imports making many jobless and pay suppressed while the likes of DPM Teo is dismissing alot of things rather conveniently.
However, it is very rude to DPM Teo to fuck him so many times… LOL~ But it seems that this blogger is merely a kid. But then kid will grow to become adult. So… if you were to be DPM Teo, what will you do to this kid?
Hmm… this chap also touched on Euro zone crisis in his other entry… which is about the basic scenario of euro zone. Interesting chap. If he is interested in current affairs, I hope he would also grow up a good man. Otherwise, he would only be the very personality he is criticising. Topics… everyone can touch on, but to do so with depth requires raw capability.
He seems to be a student from SAJC… All the best then~
Just to tease those ‘chee hongs’ at EDMW. LOL~
