Recently, a James Chua has sent his lawyer upon a SGForum; this forum is infamous for nosense as well. Despite all the havoc and their powerful display, SGForum seems to be backing out. See? Typical Singaporeans; looks very tough, but once a legal threat comes, it can just chicken out. Nay, Scope doesn’t participate in such forums. But I doubt James should issue the legal threat because what does his lawyer expect Singapore’s court to do? Singapore’s legal framework is inherited from the Ang Mohs who were once the big shots of this island. By all reasonableness#11, there is no mens rea as well, nor publication act can be applied normally as in general libel. Of course, unless SGForum is pure idiotic, the local court is going to view this as a landmark case of wasting time.
I urge James to think over again.
Scope has already touched on the fundamentals of such legal cases a couple of times in this blog and I am very tired of repeating. People said guys with high IQ are usually very tired of repeating. Quite true. Probably that’s why a girl with high IQ is fucking different men, making money out of the fuck quests to support her daughter#12. I feel very sad for her, but… high IQ doesn’t mean you are god. It’s just high inefficiency in human resource management to place high calibre people in the wrong places so that idiots could be in charge to mess up everybody’s life. Here’s the philosophy in life up there… ’Angels And Demons’ is a good movie#14, but it sure got a lousy plot. The reason why I said that is because it’s very easy to guess right from the beginning that the handsome Can-the-what-fuck would be behind all these; you don’t need high IQ for that. The crazy guard head actually went to see the Can-the-what-fuck ALONE (?!) when someone else would be exposing the Can-the-what-fuck anyway. If he knew the Can-the-what-fuck wanted to be Pope, all he needed to do was to testify against him in front of the other bishops… Not to say, he was aware that Tom Hanks was screwing the evil plan, and one bishop was actually saved~
Worse… he rather let those 5 bishops be murdered and diverted his energy to get himself killed instead of assisting Hanks.
See? So funny… … And it’s pretty easy to have guessed where the fucking bomb would be. But the city is beautiful regardless the hearts of men and women alike.
[China Heroine Fought Demons] There is a need to cover this case since local media let a local lawyer suggested that if such were to happen in Singapore, the verdict may not be the same as in China. Firstly, that’s something Scope likes about China… We can kill demons… It’s a fair fight out there. Secondly, I must explain something about the Singapore court.
The Singapore court works within the legal framework within the state under agreements stated within the international laws, and while the court operates independently, it cannot go against the interest of the state. Put it this way, one can assume that the court (hence judges) is the member of society of which its function cannot go against society’s well-being which is part of the interest of the state. Most judges nowadays who passed out from law schools are seemingly confused as they focus mainly on legal guidelines… or the lifelines of their career. But this point cannot be omitted because by all measures, the court’s main duty is to ensure the well-being of the society.
Which is to say that the lawyer is not actually correct to say that if such were to happen in Singapore, the girl won’t be going scott free. While the legal procedures and the book are all there, the judge holds the utimate decision of how the outcome would be. While corruption is not the official issue here, the above point can be illustrated easily by assuming that a judge is corrupted and the police bought him over… hence the outcome will change… fuck care the chapters and common sense.
See? Under this circumstance when a girl is about to be raped by a cop who should be protecting the public instead of bullying a girl, the girl in her defence kills the cop. In this doing, the girl actually performs a social service against corruption; the punishment for such corruption is death via violating the right of whom you should protect by order of the state and nature of society. There is a principle in law that if the girl doesn’t kill the cop, given the cop’s character, the girl will suffer… because there will be a rationally high chance that the unsatisfied cop will come after her given his (misplaced) power. Between being raped and being not raped, the judge must decide an outcome on the basis of justice. Some may argue that the punishment the girl has dealt the cop with is too harsh and she could have called the police… or complain to higher authority. But it’s still that this girl was facing a high probability of being raped, and it’s still between losing her virginity or otherwise that the judge must decide… because in such a case, the cop is the offending party for being a harm to society and for being against his role as a protector. There is no way you can rule that the girl should risk being raped and at times being murdered herself then you call in the higher authority because this cop could overcome the girl pretty easily by rational assumption… if he was not accidentally killed.
This is conveniently dished out with plenty of past records of rape cum murder…
So tell me, if you were the judge#15 and need to maintain the interest of the state, how would you rule?

[Angels Vs Angels And Demons] Some chaps want to sue this movie. Crazy. Nowadays, things have become pretty trigger-happy. But the lawyers would be happier since they will have more businesses. What those chaps should sue is the authority for allowing this movie to crawl into Singapore.
Should the Lord be so wise… that after all these years, after harassing Galileo and many scientists, the followers of the church are still relentlessly proving themselves eager to hunt down the public… no matter if the earlier scientists have proven the truth, hence their ignorance. Is it fair? Shouldn’t the professionals sue the Lord in return? At least they can sue the church for being misleading the public with force over many decades… with scientific evidence.

‘Angels And Demons’ is virtually a fiction, I am sure many viewers and even those working on this movie are Christians themselves. Scope treats this legal threat against such innocent movie a pretty disgusting nuisance. Not that he doesn’t respect religion, but how many in the world have actually reacted but a bunch of over-zealous folks? Can they represent the rest who are enjoying the movie as a movie?

[Bo-chap Back To Camp] I was out-processed for good reason on the first day. Point is, I was pretty early that morning, I was also the one who made the initiative to hunt for the… table of which the in-processing would be and yet… I was not the first to be entertained. In fact, I felt pretty unhappy with the attitude shown towards myself. I was in-processed only after many had done so.
Well… Singapore army people… Not only that, the biggest issue was… after talking about the equipment issue with various parties here and there, the clerk was giving me a shock that she didn’t remember what she said… I was there with what I got, no matter. The information given over the weeks from the army side from various people had been a complete mess. And the girl literally expected me to know what has been happening in their system as if I were the regular for the last decade. To be frank… most disturbed, how not to be?
They had the reporting booth at a lower level when everybody was gathering elsewhere… waiting like dummies. OMG~ You see, if Scope had not gone down and checked out a brand new strange place, the entire platoon could have ended up being reporting late. It ended up with the staffs blaming one another and someone went up to get the people down to be in-processed. See, why I was not happy when I was like being ignored for doing something good?
Luckily, the OC happened to sound reasonable. I explained to him about my situation; Actually Scope is unfit for reservist due to very valid reasons. It was pure lucky because… what if Scope was ended up with a fucked-up OC? Then we might have to go up and up and up from the camp to the Gs-army, and to the ministry or state level, or being STOMP-ed or somehow. I didn’t really argue with the girl or the staffs directly over the equipment other than raising the issue plainly, not my style to confront directly. I really must thank that OC for being surprisingly understanding. Because of his decision, subsequent events proved he was doing the right thing. If we had such OC during NS, probably my impression of SAF would have been much better.
I just ain’t the sort who can entertain nosensical excuses that well. Wisdom and logic are two things I demand of men… and women. It is precisely because Scope has encountered all those nosenses during NS that he knows such a reasonable OC doesn’t always come by. I had seen one of the warrant officers from my NS days at the camp; he aged… to my surprise. It has been… only 10 years.
The most agitating part was… after I was out-processed the next day, they called my family claiming I AWOL-ed or MIA-ed… actually asking them why I wasn’t there!? I had to call up the camp again and again and make sure everything was alright. My family was clearly iritated; I told my parents everything was ok.
Can’t SAF for once… let me have a better impression of them? They represent the honor of the state, isn’t that so?
Look… I was the first to locate them at the in-processing point that morning. How could I have AWOL-ed with everybody seeing me there?
Alpha suggested I simply send in the deferment thing next time and avoid the hassle. It’d be good for everyone. I was talking to one officer that morning after I drove back with the documents… There was one captain who was pretty fair and straight during my NS days, and he looked like him; then I discovered this officer was another warrant officer.
Well… Scope still has to stay for a while due to family matters in Singapore before he ventures out over the seven seas and shoot great movies. I look forward to that, and I look forward to a revamp in local conscription. Basically in the recent years, I have more interests overseas than in local issues to be so concerned. One brief morning, and we have gotten a story.
No offence, but I seriously hope the army can review their mentality and attitude in approaching people, where many of us are back in Singapore and expect much better standards.#19

#2 I joined TKD club only because the fucking Junior College wanted all of us in some CCAs and that was the club left with vacancies… By strict order, I was not supposed to fight. Scope was trained to kill in order to survive missions, not to put up nice looking moves. And TKD… it’s not an art to boost health either. I am very fast, and I know how to tear you up before you even know it. There was in the club a girl, Mon Ai. She was very nice to me. It’s a shame I never got to see her all these fucking years. As for JH… I just wanted her to know, I am always serious with girls but I hate to look that serious. I just… love to see how those immature kids react, how this stupid world reacts behind a laughing mask. Some girls in college probably realised that I am good in most sports… If you tried carrying your sniper rifle out there fighting for your life a couple of times, you’d do great in almost every sport… And yeah, as many knew already in karaoke, I happened to sing beautifully.
